React Native Engineer

The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to lead the development of our mobile applications focused on grocery list creation and price comparison. You will be joining a mission-driven team working to help thousands of families find the best grocery deals through intuitive, high-impact mobile solutions. As part of our product engineering group, you will work closely with design, product, and leadership to shape the future of our mobile experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of mobile applications for grocery lists and price comparison.
  • Build and enhance interactive React Native apps used daily by tens of thousands of users.
  • Collaborate closely with the design team on feature implementation, UX, and microinteractions.
  • Contribute to feature ideation, specification, and product enhancement discussions.
  • Develop reusable mobile components to support scalability and team efficiency.
  • Work alongside the CTO and cross-functional teams to evolve our mobile strategy.
  • Continuously improve the app’s performance, quality, and maintainability.

    Requirements:
    • 5+ years of professional experience building mobile applications using React Native and Expo.
    • Proven track record in delivering a production-grade mobile app (iOS & Android).
    • Proficiency in JavaScript (functional and prototypal programming).
    • Strong command of TypeScript and Python.
    • Solid software testing practices and clean code principles.
    • Experience integrating with backend APIs and consuming data from external services.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Highly adaptable, proactive, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
    • Collaborative, with a team-first mentality and a strong desire to contribute to user success.
    • Previous experience in a tech startup or fast-paced environment is a plus.
